I'm an Inupiaq "Eskimo" from the Seward Peninsula -- for those of you that are Alaska Geographically challenged, this is where Alaska and Russia almost touch. I was fortunate enough to be given the opportunity to attend a state run boarding school, Mt. Edgecumbe High School. There I was surrounded by many influential people in a variety of mediums in self expression. Weeks after graduating, I enlisted in the US Navy. During my enlistment in the Seabees I discovered that I was meant for bigger and better things - so I married the love of my life and became a mom. And here I reside, in Alaska - a mom, a wife, and now photographer. I have many inspirations but most of which come from my amazing and beautiful family and friends. I surround myself with people and things that make me a better person and enhance the joy in my life. I am a very lucky woman!
